News Publisher
A News Publisher enables the publication of news, stories and articles to your website using an user-friendly online application. The website administrator has direct control over the content of the News section of their website without needing to edit the HTML source code of the websites. And can edit content in real-time.
This allows businesses to directly control their news publication without needing to use a website devloper. This means lower costs of maintaining your website and quicker way to get updates to your website processed.
Features of the News Publisher
Stories are published to the website in chronological order and can be categorised by Author and/or Category. When submitting a news story via the admin console, the story is automatically published to various sections of the website (exactly where is defined by the client during project specification).
The news stories could for example be published to the following sections of a website:
- A Front page news box (displaying the latest 2 story headlines)
- A click through to a News story page
- A page highlight all news story (view all, by category, by author)
- A side-bar news box displaying latest news headlines which can be place on any internal page.
Additional useability features of the News Publisher include:
- Ability to filter news stories by category or date
- Ability to search news stories
- Ability to subscribe to News stories using an RSS feed
- Automatic archiving of news stories
- Text and/or HTML editing of the newstories
- Ability to add images and/or other attachments in individual stories
